A lot of people still buy AM4 because it's highly cost effective and still offers plenty of power for regular users. My guess is DDR5...

Yeah, discontinuing DDR4 is stupid, but, the memory cartel is forcing 5 on everyone, limiting the supply (duh) and the price will be HIGHER.

I understand shutting down DDR3 production, but DDR4??? It's probably the most common and used type of RAM.
